As we entered the second quarter of 2018 we continued to carry out works on one of the East Coast Mainline railway bridges with a completion date set for mid July.
We also completed structural strengthening on another railway bridge over the busy A614 in Nottinghamshire.
Work commenced at the Falcon Hotel refurbishment in Stratford upon Avon and is progressing well with a completion date also set for mid July.
Several smaller projects had us returning to the cities of Peterborough and Warwick to carry out essential works for some of our regular clients.
As the spring weather improved we were pleased to be able to return to the Peak District to refurbish an overflow spillway that runs from a reservoir requiring the skills of our rope access operatives to clear vegetation, jet blast and grout the stone setts. We are also working on structural concrete repairs to a bridge near Congleton for a new client following a recommendation from the engineer.
Another structure which was in need of urgent repairs took us to Nottingham. Four years ago, we were contracted to carry out urgent structural waterproofing to a lower level carpark within a residential complex in the city centre. This time we had to waterproof sections of the upper residential and commercial floors consisting of traditional tanking applications combined with resin injections.
Having experienced significant growth over the last 24 months thus requiring us to build on our management team, we have now moved into our new offices, opening up much needed space for storage of materials and equipment required for our increased workload over the next quarter.
"A successful structural repair project needs more than just a good contractor"
